How important is the correct installation of tank brackets and straps?

Let's start with the basic principle: the correct distribution of weight and force is crucial for the durability of the system.

If we think about it, there are constant stresses that the vehicle, machines and tank are constantly undergoing during daily work.

When mounting the tank, whether hydraulic, diesel or combined, it is advised to use No. 3 mounting points on the frame to distribute the weight evenly and not cause damaging stresses on the chassis.

The choice of mounting points is facilitated by the design of multi-hole brackets suitable for a wide range of medium, heavy and machine chassis.

The distance between the brackets must be defined according to the length of the tank and the arrangement of the welds.

Once the brackets are installed, the straps should be positioned perpendicular to the tank, with full alignment between the upper hook and the lower retaining bolt.
Op deze manier wordt de aanhaalkracht van de bout gelijkmatig verdeeld.

At the same time, this ensures that the band and EPDM gasket fit properly on the tank.

Placing the strap at an angle, i.e. not perpendicular to the tank, results in a critical force being applied to a smaller surface area of the strap eye and top pin, leading to problematic mechanical tension management.

This can cause damage to the tires themselves.

In order to better cope with all working conditions, Padoan has also been choosing to supply stainless steel belts for some time.
